The Stanwood-Camano School Board honored longtime member Ken Christoferson during its regular meeting Tuesday, Feb. 7.
In November, Ken Christoferson resigned his position as Stanwood-Camano School Board Director representing District 4. He was the longest-serving school board member in district history. Christoferson was a school board director from 1995-1999 and again from 2003-2022. He was re-elected to a four-year term in November 2019. He served as board president for 10 of his 25 years on the board.
On Tuesday, the School Board honored Christoferson with speeches and a plaque.
Also at the meeting, the Board hear reports from district staff on enrollment, Alternative Learning Experience at the Church Creek Campus, equity initiatives at Twin City Elementary, districtwide capital improvement projects, and workplace well-being.

The next scheduled School Board meeting is 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, in the boardroom at the Stanwood-Camano School District Administration & Resource Center at 26920 Pioneer Highway in Stanwood.
