The Stanwood-Camano School District provides all students with access to networked services as well as to the Internet and some forms of electronic communication. Having access allows students to use online resources purchased by the district to support student learning and free internet sites. Access to the School District's computer network is a privilege that comes with responsibilities for its appropriate use. It is important that users understand both the benefits of using the computer and the potential risks.
The School District makes a concerted effort to prevent student access to objectionable material on the Internet. District computers use Internet filtering software that is continually updated and teachers supervise computer use to assure that students are accessing information that is educationally relevant. If you have questions about your child's use of the Internet while at school, please contact your child's school. If you believe that your child should not have access to the Internet while at school, please notify your child's school.
