Medication at School

Medication should only be given at school when absolutely necessary. Whenever possible the parent/guardian and licensed health care provider are urged to design a schedule for giving medication outside school hours. When necessary medication may be given on an ongoing, temporary or as needed basis under the supervision of a certified school nurse. It is understood that trained unlicensed personnel may administer medication. Medication not authorized for self-carry will be kept in the health room. RCW 28A.210.260
