The School Board heard an annual report from Elger Bay Elementary during its May 7 regular Stanwood-Camano School Board meeting.
The board heard the update from Elger Bay principal Tim Dickinson on the school’s Annual Action Plans.
The board also heard a report from Ruth Floyd, Executive Director of Business Services, on the district’s March financials.
The board then honored its teachers with a proclamation in recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week.
The school board then accepted six donations:

$200 from the Arlington Garden Club in support of the FFA program to help with state and national competition costs.

$335.32 from the Twin City PTA to cover the cost of transportation for the Twin City Elementary field trip to the Spark Museum.

$1,066.60 from the Stanwood High School Band Booster Club to cover the transportation cost for the band to attend festivals.

Donation of formal wear from Martha’s Bridal and Formal Wear in Burlington to support the theatre programs in the Stanwood-Camano School District, valued at $15,131.00.

A donation from the Stillaguamish Tribe through the Stanwood 4A Booster Club of equipment and materials in support of the fine arts department at Stanwood High School, valued at $1,489.44.

Donation of art supplies from the Stanwood-Camano Arts Guild to support art education at Lincoln Hill High School and Lincoln Academy, valued at $590.65.
