The Stanwood-Camano School Board heard an update on the 2024-25 school district budget process during its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Ruth Floyd, Executive Director of Business Services, discussed the status of drafting the 2024-25 school district budget. The report is in advance of a public hearing about the budget scheduled for August 20.

The school board then accepted two donations:

$9,081.06 from the Twin City Elementary PTA to cover transportation costs and the remaining balance for the Twin City Elementary trip to Camp Seymour.

$1,416.99 from the Twin City Elementary PTA to cover transportation costs for school field trips to Andrews Hay Farm, Stanwood Historical Society, Riverside Landes, and Camano Island State Park.

NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY BUDGET COMPLETION
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to RCW 28A.505.040, that the Stanwood-Camano School District No. 401, Snohomish County, Washington, has completed a draft budget and four-year budget plan summary, posted it electronically at https://www.stanwood.wednet.edu/budget, placed it on file in the school district administration office, and a copy will be furnished to any person who calls upon the district for it.
Prior to adoption of the 2024-25 budget, scheduled for August 20, 2024, the Board will hold a hearing for the purpose of receiving comments from the public. Upon conclusion of the hearing, the Board shall fix and determine the appropriation from each fund contained in the 2024-25 budget separately and shall, by resolution, adopt the 2024-25 budget, the four-year budget plan summary, and the four-year enrollment projection and the appropriations as so finally determined.
