mission possible.jpgCongratulations to the Stanwood High School's Science Team who placed 22nd out of 60 teams from throughout the United States at the National Science Olympiad Tournament at the University of Illinois, May 19-23.

Top finishers were:
   6th place in Mission Possible (Jimmy Besancon and Derek Britain, pictured at left)
   6th place in Trajectory (April Thayer and Kory Pattison)
   9th place in  Mouse Trap Vehicle (Jimmy Besancon and Derek Britain)
  10th in Remote Sensing (Derek Britain and Max Osnes)
  11th in Physics Lab (Jimmy Besancon and Heather Biehl)
  11th in Bridge (Derek Britain and April Thayer)
  12th in Bottle Rocket (April Thayer and Kory Pattison)
  13th in Forensics (Alec Parker and Kyle Blackburn)
  18th in Fossils (Jimmy Besancon and Harley Weaver)

The Science Team is appreciative for the tremendous support they have received from the community and the school district.
