Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
As you are aware there have been confirmed cases of H1N1 Swine Flu reported across the United States. Our school district works closely with local, state, and national health agencies to investigate any illnesses and/or infections.
H1N1 Swine Flu in people is characterized by fever (100 degrees or more), sore throat, cough, body aches, headaches, chills, and fatigue. The illness may last up to seven days, but people are considered to be contagious as long as symptoms persist. If you or your child have mild flu-like symptoms, monitor and telephone your physician to consult if necessary.
We want to remind parents and staff of the importance of prevention and how to stay safe. Parents please update your emergency contact information with your child(s) school and have a back-up plan prepared in advance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CHANGES TO 2009/10 BUS ROUTES
Stanwood-Camano School District’s
funding is decreasing in 2009-10 because of the state budget deficit
and declining student enrollment. As a result, the district needs to
reduce costs in all areas. Unfortunately, these reductions will affect
students, families, and district employees. The transportation
department has had to make the following adjustments due to these
challenging funding declines:

The City of Stanwood will soon begin improvements to the 68th Avenue NW Road near Cedarhome Elementary School. These improvements will affect vehicles and pedestrian traffic at various phases of the project. Here is the notice and map from the City of Stanwood to all Cedarhome Elementary School students and parents:

Parent(s)/guardian(s) can register students at their school during regular school hours. Save yourself time! You can print and fill out the registration form and immunization record form ahead of time and then bring them to the school to complete the registration process.
If you are not sure at which school to register your child, click here to view the area attendance map or call the transportation office at (360) 629-1229.
